  2. Unfortunately, the workflow execution in WFA 4.2 is terrible slow on Windows 2012 R2.

    For example:

The creation of a vserver takes more than 40 secs with DataONTAP 4.5.0 (which is included in WFA 4.2). Whereas with DataONTAP 4.4.0 it takes approx 8 secs.

    1. WFA 4.2 also provided a new feature for Data Source scripts. Till WFA4.1. the parameters in a Data Source Type were fixed. There was Hostname, Port, Credentials, Database, Time out etc. for every data source.

But what if your data source needed additional parameters.

      Examples:

      1. You have a Data-source that requires a secondary password. So now you need to add another Password parameter to your Data Source.

      2. You have a Datasource where you are collecting performance statistics for a given duration( 15days, 30 days etc) and that duration has to be provided by the user when he/she is adding the data Source.

      3. Your data-source is a CSV file. You can work your way out by using the Hostname field for this job, but that would be a workaround. You need clean parameter called 'Path To CSV File'.

      How do do this all?
Well if you notice, your Powershell Data Source script is provided with a 'Discover Parameters' button. That's it. So now you can add parameters just as you add parameters in a Powershell command script.

      Similarly for Perl.
